Thanks for following the link! If you’re an existing Audi or VW customer of ours you’ll notice a lot of changes in the new catalog.
First and foremost, you can now select your car by year and model once at the start, you will not have to make the selection for each part like you had to in the old catalog. To make this work we have switched to using industry-standard model names (Jetta GL, Jetta GLS, Jetta GLX, etc). Not sure which you have? We’ve added a link to check for your trim level by VIN to help, or please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist. Once you have that selected you can save your vehicle information using the ‘garage’ feature and never have to worry about it again. Have multiple cars? No problem, store them all in the ‘garage’ for quick access.
You’ll also notice some of the categories and part names have changed, we’ve gone to a more industry-standard nomenclature as well to make look-ups more consistent between car lines.
If you have an earlier (pre-1999) model Audi or VW you might be saying “Hey guys, where did some of the parts go?” Don’t worry, we still have all the parts, they are just not all online in the new format yet. This project required a lot of data conversion to the new catalog format, and we did not want to hold up releasing the new website. We are committed to supporting the earlier models as well as current models, and are working diligently to get those parts online in the new format. Please contact us if you do not see what you need, we will be happy to help.
On the flip side, coverage for late model vehicles has been greatly improved and will be updated much more frequently.
Finally, a special note to those of you with split-year models like 1999 VW Golf and Jetta – The early and late versions are now combined under the model year, part listings have notes specifying whether they are for early or late model version. For example, parts for the 1999 Golf will have fitment notes of “Mark 3” meaning early 1999 Golf 3, or “Mark 4” meaning late 1999 Golf 4.
To those of you who have been using our catalog for the past 20+ years, we realize these changes may take a little getting used to but we think the end result will be quicker and easier part look-ups. Thanks for coming on this journey with us, and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions, we’re always here to help.
